Each year, over the past 24 years, we offer local golfers a way to play for a local cause. Whether you are competing as an individual, church group or business your support makes a lasting difference. We have several opportunities for sponsorship and please reach out to us if you are ready to make a difference for those facing a food and financial crisis assistance here in Catawba County.

This benefit is held in support of the people impacted by efforts to assist those in need. Last year Ashure Ministry saw a staggering 45% increase in total assistance services provided, and their food pantry distributed a whopping 1.7 million pounds of food. In August of this year, this organization expanded its service to include all of Catawba County, so now their need is greater than ever. Each year, Ashure Ministry partners with The Corner Table to hold the Catawba County Hunger Walk. The goals of this three-mile walk are to raise funds for hunger relief efforts in Catawba County and to raise awareness of the hunger issue in our community.

Each month we invite those interested in learning how we help others see firsthand what that looks like. We begin with coffee and sharing a few impact stories and updates. Then we wills give you or others from your company to see our food bank, thrift store, and other parts of our crisis support center. This is a great to learn how you can help let others know that hope is never lost and we truly care for them.

This is a fun and spirit-filled competition! This challenge rallies businesses, churches, schools, and individuals to compete in donating food or funds under their favorite NCAA basketball team’s banner, all while supporting a great cause!

Last year we collected over 7,500 pounds of food and over $17,000, making a significant impact on hunger in Catawba County!

Food is always a slam dunk for us, so it will count as 1 pound = 2 points. Financial donations help us score even more, so money counts as $1 = 3 points. We will announce top teams and the church, business, and individual scoring the most points!
