Ways to Give
To help provide you with options for giving that best match your needs, you may give in any of the following ways:
Online Donation (Monthly Recurring or One Time)
You can make a monthly recurring gift or a one-time gift using our secure gift processing system on the website.
Donation By Telephone or Check
Telephone: Call Josh Farmer at (828) 465-1702 ext. 116 and make a gift over the phone.
Check: To make a gift by check, mail your check made payable to Ashure Ministry to the address listed here. Please include a note with any information you would like us to know about your gift.

Monthly Bank Draft (EFT)
Have your gifts automatically drafted each month from your bank account. You can make a recurring monthly gift from your checking or savings account. Bank payments are made monthly. The deductions appear automatically on your bank statement. An initial email is sent to acknowledge your recurring gift. Annual statements are sent in January for tax purposes.
To make changes or start an automatic drafts, please contact Josh Farmer at (828) 465-1702 ext 116. To cancel your automatic draft, please call at least 15 days before the next scheduled fund transfer.
Corporate Matching Gifts
Increase your gift’s impact through your employer’s matching-gift program.
Check with your company to see if they offer a matching gift program. Matching gifts from your employer will be credited to your total giving record.

PLEASE NOTE: The name of the employee/donor is often not provided on matching gift distributions. In order to acknowledge your gift properly please send us a note or email at give@ashureministry.org so we know to look for the matching gift.
Memorial or Honor Gifts
Make a gift in honor or memory of someone.
If you wish for us to notify the honoree or the family of the person you are giving in memory of, please include the correct name and address of the recipient. Gifts may be made online, by phone at (828)-465-1702 ext. 116 or by mailing your gift and note with the tribute’s information to:

Obituary Announcement Example Wording
If you’d like to include Ashure Ministry in an obituary announcement, we recommend the following verbiage that may be personalized for your needs:

Securities
Make your gift of stocks, mutual funds or other securities.
Gifts of stock may be completed by physical delivery of certificates or electronically.
How to make a gift of stock to Ashure Ministry:
In order to confirm proper receipt and acknowledge your gift, we ask you to email give@ashureministry.org or call us at (828) 465-1702 ext. 116.
Donating appreciated securities (stock, mutual funds, etc.) directly to a charity in-kind is one of the most tax-smart ways to give. Yet, it is often not well understood or widely used. By donating stock that has appreciated for more than a year, you are potentially avoiding capital gains taxes. If you donate the stock directly to a charity, there’s no capital gains tax to pay, because you are not selling the security. Plus, you are still eligible to potentially deduct the full fair-market value of the asset you donated from your income taxes, up to the overall amount allowed by the IRS.

Estate Gift
Make an estate gift through your Will, retirement assets, or life insurance.
You can include Ashure Ministry in your Will, as the beneficiary of a retirement account or life insurance. Your current financial situation, the combination of assets in your portfolio and the amount you wish to leave to loved ones all determine the best method for leaving an estate gift to Ashure Ministry.
The simplest way to make an estate gift is to simply include Ashure Ministry, PO Box 31, Newton, NC 28658, and 501(c)3 Number, 56-0946753 as a percentage-based beneficiary on an IRA, other retirement account, or life insurance policy. This type of gift can be updated anytime without lawyer fees to update your Will.
Real Estate
Make a gift of real estate.
Real estate gifts include assets of principle homes, vacation homes, farms, timberland, commercial buildings, and unimproved land. The gift of real estate can provide a significant tax benefit to you, and your tax advisor can help answer those specific questions as each case is different. Ashure Ministry will enter into a feasibility study to evaluate the property before acceptance to ensure it doesn’t alter our nonprofit status or create a liability in another way.

Qualified Charitable Distributions
Required Minimum Distribution from an IRA.
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) are another tax-smart way to give.
A QCD will count toward satisfying your required minimum distribution (RMD), and neither you nor Ashure Ministry will have to pay income taxes on this distribution. If you are 70.5 or older, pre-tax money saved in an IRA can be an ideal charitable donation to Ashure Ministry. You can use a QCD whether or not you itemize deductions on your tax return. However, it is important to note that if you use this strategy, the distribution cannot be included as an itemized deduction.
Contact your financial institution where your IRA is invested and request the QCD be sent directly to Ashure Ministry to receive any possible tax benefits. Please speak to your financial and tax professional to learn more about this tax-efficient giving strategy.
PLEASE NOTE: When gifts are received in our office, donor information is often not included on the check. The check appears to be a gift from the financial institution. Also, the memo space is often too small for us to clearly read where you would like your gift used. In order to acknowledge your gift properly, please call us at (828) 465-1702 ext. 116 or email us at give@ashureministry.org to alert us that your gift is coming and how you would like it to be used.
Endowment Giving
Endowing a gift of any kind for the future provides sustainability for today and in perpetuity. Current or estate gifts may be endowed to Ashure Ministry and there are a number of ways to do this. You can make a donation of any size into our Endowment.
To make an endowed gift please contact us at (828) 465-1702 ext. 116 or email us at give@ashureministry.org so that we might gather the appropriate documentation from you, including a Memorandum of Understanding and a Legacy Gift Intent Form. These documents will ensure that your gift is stewarded as you requested long after our life time.
