Shining in our November Volunteer Spotlight: Tony Huffman
At Ashure Ministry, we are grateful for our dedicated volunteers, and Tony Huffman is someone we look forward to seeing every week. Tony joined our team about 18 months ago, seeking an opportunity to give back and engage with the community. Since then, he has become an integral part of our mission.
Tony volunteers two to three mornings a week, where he primarily helps build carts for our food pantry. His consistent efforts ensure that we never run out of carts, allowing us to efficiently serve a record number of clients. His proactive approach and enthusiasm make a significant difference in our operations.
Beyond his hands-on work, Tony has also fostered valuable connections with other organizations, helping us source various food items and supplies for distribution. His efforts have been vital in securing boxes from a local agency, which has significantly enhanced our capacity to meet the growing demands of our pantry.
Tony’s positive energy brightens our space. He enjoys connecting with fellow volunteers and sharing his knowledge, particularly about Appalachian State athletics. His friendly demeanor and sense of humor create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that resonates with everyone around him.
Inspired by the impact our organization has on the community, Tony continues to return week after week, embodying the spirit of service that drives Ashure Ministry.
Thank you, Tony, for your dedication and all that you do for our organization and the community we serve. We look forward to many more years together!
